FLASH!!  Blaze wins Best of Opposite Sex at the BC Club of Greater LA Regional Specialty under breeder judge Robyn Powley, with an entry of 65 BC's including many top ranked specials!!! (pictured below)

While we were living in Australia, Emily and Jenny wanted a bigger dog to show in junior showmanship.  We decided a Border Collie would be the perfect match.  We found Kellagem Kalkite, a black and white puppy dog, which we quickly nicknamed “Blaze”.  He became Jenny’s dog and she has been training and showing him. 

In Australia he was shown as a baby puppy and won baby puppy groups and sweepstake classes.  Blaze was imported to the US in January 1999.  His show career started out great.  At the 1999 Border Collie Nationals he was Best Opposite Sex in the Puppy Sweepstakes and first place in his 12-18 month puppy dog class.  Blaze gained his American Champion quickly with numerous Best of Breeds along the way.  As a special Blaze has won many Best of Breeds over top specials.  He is also a group placer.  In 2000 Blaze was #11 Border Collie all-breed with only a limited amount of showing.  We are proud of the fact that he is always owner handled by Jenny, who was a junior handler until she turned 18 in 2002.  Herding sheep is a favorite activity and he passed his PT test in September 2000.  Jenny is currently training Blaze in obedience and we are hoping for new titles soon.  They have already started competing in Rally Obedience and Blaze earned his RN in August 2005.

Blaze has a wonderful temperament and loves everyone.  We thank everyone who has recognized Blaze's quality and look forward to more success in the future. 

Blaze has been OFA certified GOOD, CERF clear, CEA DNA tested normal (OptiGen # 05-1337), CL DNA tested normal (OptiGen # 05-1337), and TNS DNA tested normal (UNSW_ID BC2566).  Blaze is currently standing at stud to approved bitches, and is a proven sire.  Blaze has consistently passed on his beautiful expression, movement and rear.  We believe Blaze is a prepotent sire, as all of his puppies have a distinctive type.  We are extremely proud of his progenies' show careers.  Blaze is recognized by the BCSA as a Register of Merit (ROM) Sire.   Thank you to everyone who has helped give Blaze this distinction.   Inquiries are welcome, please e-mail Pawcific.

NEWS FLASH!! Blaze won Best Stud Dog at the 2007 BCSA National Specialty with progeny Ch Pawcific Way Out West, Pawcific Dream Date and Ch Ariel Linwald Bean Si!  He repeated his win at the NCBCC specialty with progeny Ch Pawcific Way Out West and Pawcific Dream Date!
