We first met Rime in the summer of 2006 when Bonnie Harris (Wildair Border Collies) asked us to start showing her.  We were immediately impressed with this girl, and knew she was special.  Rime is the type of Border Collie we love.  She has beautiful structure, with effortless movement, a great energetic personality and natural herding instinct.  When Bonnie asked if we wanted to co-own her, we couldn't resist.

With Emily as her handler, Rime started her show career just before her first birthday and picked up several singles and a 5 point major.  She then took a short break from the show ring for some herding training with Shannon Pfifer (Kenleigh Acres Farm).  In early October at 14 months of age, Rime went to her first herding trial and easily qualified for her first HS leg on sheep.  A couple weeks later Rime flew to the Border Collie nationals with Kathy and Jenny.  Rime was quickly noticed by many and won Best in Puppy Sweepstakes and 1st place in the 12-18 month class at the 2006 BCSA National Specialty Show.  The following weekend Rime came home to finish her CH with two more majors.

Libbye Miller, 2006 BCSA Nationals Sweepstakes judge, wrote the following about Rime in her critique published in Borderlines,

"My sweeps winner was a lovely bitch who exemplified a balanced, effortless, ground covering trot as asked for in the standard (and without generic and excessive reach and drive).  She moved at moderate speed and covered the ground lightly with minimal effort, each of her parts flowing smoothly together.  She stood out with the balance, harmony, and moderation that allow a Border Collie to be a functional working dog."
